What is Shared Ownership?
Shared Ownership is a government funded part-buy part-rent scheme designed to help people buy a home of their own. You buy a share of between 25% and 75% of the home’s full market value and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, with the option to increase the share you own when you can afford to (known as ‘staircasing’). Shares available to buy at Riverside may vary.

Help to Buy London: Equity Loan
Available on selected new homes in London up to the value of £600,000, Help to Buy London can help you step on or move up the property ladder and could help moving much more affordable. The government-backed scheme enables you to buy a new home with a 5% deposit. You’ll need to take out a 55% mortgage on your new home and the remaining 40% will be funded by a government loan.
